Using L-Glutathione for Treating Acne and Pimples

Acne and acne spots are real problems. This affects self-esteem, especially in teens, and also in adults. For some, more acne or pimples means a dirty and unattractive face.

It is also always advised not to squeeze, scratch or wound the pimples/acne to prevent scaring and for effective healing.

Glutathione is a tripeptide containing 3 amino acids, L-glutamine, L-cysteine, and glycine. These are good for the body and for the skin.

Increasing your glutathione(GSH) levels like eating GSH boosting foods or taking gluta supplements can help with lightening the skin, and this includes acne scars.

Now about taking the supplements, some studies do argue that they are not that effective since they have low absorption rate. This mean that it will just get dissolved in the digestive tract and won’t reach the cells of the skin. This is the main disadvantage of those in capsules form, although they are more cheaper. A healthy diet + Vitamin C + Alpha Lipoic Acid is a good combination for preventing and treating pimples.

The acne scars will most likely fade in its color, even without needing treatment, but that isn’t necessarily be always true. Glutathione can help the skin be healthier and improve the skin tone.

Also be advised, that your skin is different compared to others. Thus, different products may react differently to you – Some may have positive effects, while some may not bring effects at all. This also is the case for skin whitening. Like for some of our clients, they first tried glutax, but didn’t see positive results. They shifted to tation or saluta, and it worked for them. Some also had really good effects with glutax, but had not ideal effects with saluta, tatiomax, or tationil. It may also bring different positive effects, like for one, it may bring a pale white effect, or a rosy glooming effect.

The only way to know is for you to try it out, and see what works for you.
